Workshop on Microsystems for Environmental Sensing
Join us on Wednesday 17th of September at the University of Birmingham for a cross-sector event exploring the role of microsystems in advancing environmental sensing. This event will spotlight the latest research and innovation in miniaturised sensing technologies, while creating a forum for environmental scientists, microsystems engineers, industry experts and policymakers to discuss unmet needs and new opportunities. Through talks, discussion and networking, we aim to catalyse collaborations that lead to future funding bids across schemes such as UKRI Cross Council Responsive Mode, NERC Pushing the Frontiers, EPSRC, Leverhulme and European programmes.

Microacoustic Systems Symposium
The Micro Acoustic Systems Symposium will be held on the 24th of October at the University of Glasgow and aims to explore the latest advances in some key areas of microacoustic systems, including acoustic wave microsensors and devices, acoustofluidics, rheology,
microbubbles and cavitation, ultrasonic field formation and piezoelectric materials.
Presentations are welcome in both theory and applications in engineering, healthcare and sustainability, with participants and audience from academia, research and industry.
Sessions will include keynote talks, technical presentations and demonstrations. There will be a poster session when participants are most welcome to bring small interactive experiments along also, with ample opportunity for networking and collaboration.
