The UK Microsystems Network, launched in March 2025, is a nationwide initiative to unite researchers, industry partners, and policymakers who share an interest in designing and developing microsystems. Drawing upon expertise in material science, chemistry, physics, and engineering, the Network addresses cutting-edge topics in microfluidics, microrobotics, microfabrication, and more, aiming to foster innovation and collaboration across academia and the private sector. By serving as a focal point for stakeholders’ engagement and collaboration, it will support fundamental advances in microsystems and ensure that microsystems continue to underpin progress in key technological areas such as healthcare, semiconductors, telecommunications, and quantum devices.
